That Awkward Moment when...

Yes! I'm back on track! I forced myself to write a post on my blog no matter how busy I am. So to start it off here's something I hope you all will enjoy!

Okay... so I'm sure we all had those awkward moments when something happens. Well... I was just thinking.... I think my awkward moment tops them all. You see... usually I wouldn't be telling people my awkward moments because well... because I'm a shy person and I just hate it when I get embarrassed but I just wanna let everyone know I'm not perfect, I'm human, and I make mistakes. The one thing I try to follow is, don't grieve over your mistakes, take them as a lesson and if it helps laugh at them. The whole world wont explode if you tip over the glass china your great great grandmother passed on to your mom- no... yeah I think 'your' world would explode. But thats not the point you move on and shurg it off. Don't get stuck in the pass. It's a waste of time.

So... moving on to my awkward moment when....

It was my little brothers birthday. He turned 7 and all his friends went with us to go to the Museum. And I was in charge of making sure they didn't get lost. There was just 3 of them but just think... 3 seven year olds running off into a museum with about over 100 other little kids running around with no mommies. It was hectic and loud! So everything was going just fine... well kind of, one of my little brother's friends (lets call him Kyle) was not only a talker but a wonderer. He would not stand still for at least 5 seconds. The whole time I was running here and there trying to make him stay with the 'pack'. And mean while I had to watch the other two. So... it was crazy! But there came a point when Kyle ran into the other exhibit and the other two were on the other side of the museum. I was exhausted from all this running and I was ready to show this kyle kid who's boss and that we can't go running off like that.  So... I said,

"Kyle we can't play there."
he wasn't turning around
"Kyle we have to go now."
he still wasn't turning around
"Kyle! I said we have to go!" I started pulling on his arm to follow me but he just would not move!
"Kyle!" I said as a pulled harder.
He finally turned around and a lady ran up to me in a panic picking up her child and said,
"LEAVE HIM ALONE! THAT'S NOT YOUR KID! HE'S MINE!" She ran away from me like I had a gun and wouldn't you know Kyle was standing right next to me the whole time and he started laughing,
"HA HA! You thought that kid was me! Oh, boy your stupid!"
I grabbed Kyle's arm and said,
"You Mister were wearing the same clothes as that kid!"

And believe me after that ... I learned my lesson... never Never Ever doubt a seven year old's mind. They are way smarter than you think. So yep that was that... My very very awkward moment...

If you have question or would like to share "your very awkward moment" please post in the comments! Thank you!

  1. ok...so here is my awkward moment.....It was really icy outside and I was carrying a big box when I slipped on some ice and almost fell! Thankfully (or maybe not) someone caught me and took the box. When I looked to see who it was I saw this guy who is really creepy and just scares me! All my friends started laughing and he wondered why and it was the worst thing on earth! I wanted to thank him but I couldn't manage to say anything because it was just too funny/awful so I just smiled and walked of. :P

  4. Here's one of my many awkward moments..
One evening, I was getting ready for a really important event, so I was getting all dressed up and put on a little bit of makeup.
I had recently got a new kind of long-wear lip gloss, one that supposedly lasts for 8 hours.. I thought, why not! This will be a great night to try it! Boy, was I wrong!
It was a really nice texture, but it was the exact same shade on my lips as it was in the tube.. which turned out to be a shocking neon pink, which was hideous and way too bright. That wasn't the worst part, though. It dried almost immediately, and.. I couldn't remove it. It was stuck on there. To make matters EVEN worse, I had accidentally put it on crooked.. and some of it was on my face. It looked like a little kid tried to put lipstick on me. I was in a total panic, and no matter how many times I washed my face or tried to wipe it off, it wouldn't come off or fade!
After about 10 minutes of scrubbing and wiping, I realized it might be waterproof (duh!) so I tried some oil. I was right and it came right off, but my lips were raw. I felt like such an idiot!

  5. Well this is a super awkward moment for me, so here goes! (P.S if you see the name "Catherine" down there, that is me. my real name is Catherine Lila, but I go by Lila, but my parents call me Catherine)

Well I think I was about 11 years old at the time, and my brother was 14, and we went on a drive with our parents, I think we were going out to look at furniture. Anyways I was at the age I was starting to like boys, so as you probably guess, I had a celebrity crush. Being only 11 and clueless, I thought I should let my parents know, so, this is what I said, "You know I have a crush on (insert celebrity male name here)." My mom and dad looked at each other and started giggling, then my parents starting saying stuff like "You know Catherine you could marry him" and stuff like that. My brother was over beside me trying to keep a straight face, because this stuff has happen to him before.

Then, after that my parents say " Catherine your boyfriend is on" or they make kissing sounds. Now being older, they totally forgot that moment and that I have a crush on him. But I still blush everytime him comes on screen! xD

  6. I went bowling with some friends not to long ago- some that I hadn't known that long. i like to tease a little so i said to one of the girls, i betchu wont go halfway down and bowl. I will if you will! (i meant down the bowling lane.) she laughed, and said- she would! really? i said, surprised. I honestly hadn't meant it a bit. but because she said she would, *I* wasn't about to back down, because I'm awesome and will pretty much take any challenge to prove it. >.< the second I stepped over the line I slipped and fell in the most ungraceful way you can imagine. every one laughed and I made a joke of it and laughed along, turning my bad circumstances a little more in my favor- but I was so embarrassed my face was hot for the next 20 minutes, and especially when the girl I challenged said she thought I meant halfway up the wooden platform and further from the bowling lane.

    ... right, I'm soooo cool. >.<
